On the event side of the business, Route 66 has garnered awards for work with BMW, MINI USA, and Sony. Their unique ability to deliver innovative creative solutions within the body of a flawlessly executed event has earned them the respect of clients and competitors alike.

Route 66 was one of the few event and media production companies to merit a coveted Purple Cow Award by Fast Company Magazine. The awards recognize companies whose contribution to their client's communications effort is so unique and effective that it lofts the client's message far above their competition. Route 66's work launching the MINI Cooper in the US was considered so innovative and fitting for the new MINI brand, that it received the Purple Cow Award.

When Kerri Martin, MINI's marketing director and "guardian of MINI's brand soul", first briefed Route 66 on the project, she knew that the launch event needed to reach the target audience of dealership owners at a very deep level. If they didn't internalize what MINI was about, the brand could not succeed. So she asked MINI's Brand Advocacy Partner, Crispin Porter Bogusky, to brief our creative team. Much to everyone's delight, the first plan we developed hit the proverbial nail on the head, and we were off and running to make a tight production deadline. The result was a series of unique and memorable events in London, followed up the following year by a gala launch in San Francisco. •
